Delaware Valley Browns Backers Rooting for the Cleveland Browns from the Delaware Valley

The Browns Backers have again offered clubs the chance to purchase a limited number of Dawg Pound seats to one home game during the year. Here is how this works:

We tell the Browns Backers how many tickets we are purchasing and then rank the games in order of our preference. The Browns will assign us to one of the games based on preference and availability.

If you are interested in this, tickets are $55 each. We need to send payment with the order form and in order to get our choice of game we need to have your choices and money by Jun 18.

This is just a quick reminder that based on your survey feedback we are *NOT* meeting for the NFL draft this year. The schedule and format of the draft made it difficult to plan a party this year. A couple of us may be at Stanley’s but the room is not reserved and there is no space set aside for us.

Rd. 1: Thurs., April 22, 7:30 p.m. ET
Rds. 2-3: Fri., April 23, 6:00 p.m. ET
Rds. 4-7: Sat., April 24, 10 a.m. ET

We sent out a survey a couple weeks ago to all of our members that are on the mailing list trying to gauge interest in different offseason activities.

It looks like we don’t have enough interested people to hold an official draft party this year since round one is on a Thursday night but a few us us are still planning on meeting at Stanley’s to watch the draft. Feel free to join us.

We did get a very positive response about attending a Blue Rocks game this summer. We are starting to look at options for dates and will send another update as soon as we have options.

The last game of the season is this week and that means the drawing for the Bernie Kosar autographed ball is finally here. We will have a 50/50 drawing at halftime of the game which will give you three more chances to win entries in the drawing. You can also purchase additional entries for the football drawing for $5 each. We will draw the football winner immediately after the normal 50/50 drawing.

It would be great to see everyone one last time this season so try to make it on Sunday as the Browns try to finish on a winning note!

You’re invited to the Delaware Valley Browns Backers 2009 Tailgate Buffet at Stanley’s!

The buffet will be served for an hour and a half starting at 3:00pm before the game against the Chargers. Kickoff is at 4:05. The buffet will include two or three main items, fries, condiments, a side salad, and soft drinks. We will be having a Browns trivia contest and a special raffle during this time. After the buffet we will remain upstairs for the game. More details about this will be coming soon.

The buffet is free for those that have paid their 2009 membership dues. Non-members and guests can join us for $15. If you plan to join us for the buffet and are not a member, please contact us to let us know so we have an accurate headcount.
