New Location for 2009!

Stanley's Tavern Logo
We’ve found a new location for this season that we think is going to work out well for us: Stanley’s Tavern.

We will be meeting in their upstairs banquet room.  There’s a bar, a big-screen TV and multiple smaller TVs upstairs.  We are still working out some details regarding specials and will let everyone know when there’s more info.

Plan on being there for the opener on Sept 13!

For those not familiar with the location, directions are here.

Fantasy Football

Last season there was some discussion about getting a fantasy football league together. If there’s enough interest we’ll start a league and then have the draft a week or so before the season begins.

If you’re interested in participating, please let us know.

2009 Game Tickets

The Browns have again given clubs the opportunity to purchase tickets to Browns games in Cleveland. We need to rank our preferred games and give them the number of tickets that we’d want.

If you’re interested, please review the schedule and contact us with the number of tickets you’d want and your preferred games.

Please rank the games in order of preference.

Note that we are not eligible for Steelers game tickets this year (we requested that game last year).

2009 NFL Draft

Unfortunately both Steve and Dave ended up having to work on the Saturday of the NFL Draft this year making it difficult to hold a draft-day party.  For those watching at home, the draft will be aired live on both NFL Network and ESPN starting at 4:00pm on Saturday April 26.  You can also follow the draft live online using the Draft Tracker.

If anyone wants to make arrangements for picking up their shirts from last year, please contact us.

Browns 2009 Schedule

The NFL has released the 2009 regular season schedule including the Brown’s Schedule.

Some things to note:

  • Most of the games are 1:00 starts.  Unlike last year we should be able to meet consistently.
  • The divisional games seem better spaced out this year.
  • The bye-week is actually in the middle of the season.
  • We open against a non-division, non-conference team.
  • The prime-time games are against Pittsburgh and Baltimore and both are at home.
